Oorsprongbeek en de Hemelseberg

Wonderfull Larch-tree!

One of the nearly 20 waterfalls from the small cascades.

This is a symbolic building of what used to be a great house
with water falling from the roof while visitors could sit a
nd have a drink watching and listening to the water.

To great tranquility of the hills at the Arnhem north site with small rivers,
to serve several mills for the region:  Flour, sugar,
tabacoo and many more products, a touristic place where
people came to sit beside the river, have thee and peace.

Memorial for the persons making this forest and
land into a park of great beauty and peace.
Words of thanks to Mrs. Kneppelhout
van Braam, 1825-1915

During the battle of Arnhem 1944, this hollow
served as a shelter of people who lived nearby.
In this quiet spot of the forest this spot was
also known as ‘the Hell’, remarkable with the knowledge
that a wonderful manor house used to stand there
with the name ‘The Heavenly hill’, (Hemelsberg)
destroyed during that same event.

So peacefully now, a place to visit frequent and just listing to the
abundance of nothing, no roads ar traffic nearby,
just nature and all what is giving to mankind.
